Tell us about a potential power project

Page 1 of 13

This service is for Yukon First Nations, private companies or other organizations undertaking or planning electricity generation or energy storage projects.

We want to hear about your project to:

  • get an overview of power generation and storage in the Yukon; and
  • see if there are potential opportunities to partner with Yukon organizations on these projects.

Not all submissions will be selected to participate in this program. Once we receive submissions, our team will review them. We may reach out if we need more information on your project or to advance potential partnerships.

We’re focusing on projects generating 5 Megawatts or more, but we welcome all submissions so we can learn about your proposed projects.

Average time to complete: 20 minutes.

Before you start

You need:

  • an email address and phone number;
  • details about your organization's corporate structure, ownership and partners;
  • the project's resource type, size, location, stage and timeline;
  • any supporting documents or reports you want to include; and
  • if you have them - cost estimates, financing plans and studies.

File formats accepted: .pdf, .doc, .docx, .jpeg or .png.
Maximum file size: 10 MB each or 20 MB combined

Project size and energy output

We are looking for your best estimates on this page. These estimates will help us understand how this project could potentially contribute to the Yukon’s power system needs.

Generation

We are looking for your estimate of the nameplate capacity in megawatts (MW). For example, 12.5.

This is the projected energy (in megawatt hours) this project will produce in a typical year.

Storage

In megawatt hours (MWh).

In megawatts (MW).
